Live Music with the Calico Crows
August 14, 7-9pm
The Calico Crows weave song-driven Americana with roots and indie folk influences, creating sounds that span from delicate balladry to gritty, foot-stomping anthems. Formed in Eugene, Oregon in late 2024, the band features songwriter Brad Nolen (vocals, acoustic guitar, harmonica), Devin Newman (banjo, guitar), Terry Travis (bass), and Titus Young (cello). Their distinctive approach combines traditional American folk instrumentation with modern indie sensibilities, anchored by the percussive, bright attack of banjo paired with the warm, sustained tones of cello—a sonic palette that draws from influences spanning traditional folk, contemporary Americana acts like Wilco and The Jayhawks, and the orchestral indie-folk of bands like The Decemberists and Fleet Foxes. The result is fundamentally song-driven music that bridges the gap between intimate coffeehouse performances and the sweeping arrangements of modern indie folk, creating a sound that feels both authentically rooted and refreshingly innovative.

August 21

8-Midnight

4 on the floor, boogie down with high vibes and friends. We may not go late but the vibe is high.
One of the true pioneers of the Northwest scene, Miles Airon sustains a genuine presence with over two decades of experience on the decks. Ranging trough Tech House, Deep Tech, Deep House, Techno, Garage, Future Bass, Footwork, Drum & Bass, Soul, Hip-Hop and some Trap on occasion, Miles doesn’t allow one genre to define his style. Rather, it evolves staying fresh and current as sonic tastes change. Performing and collaborating with Gaia Tribe, Tropical House LA, Northwest House Music Conference, Symbiosis Eclipse, Lightning in a Bottle and various other production entities, Miles Airon has been a pinnacle player in the scene and continues to broaden his involvement in the industry.
DJ Anthony Hornof plays transformative R&B, disco, and house with a focus on creative sonic integration of tracks from across the last 50 years. Anthony’s deejay career started in NYC clubs in the 1980s where he learned from legendary deejays such as David Mancuso, Larry Levan, and Frankie Knuckles. Anthony was present at the dawn of house music, and contributed directly to its introduction to NYC dance floors. He has remained plugged-in to club music since then and finds that Play Eugene provides a wonderful modern context for deejay exploration and the emotional enlightenment that can occur in a loving and creative club experience.

Live Music with the Elena Leona Project
Free and All Ages until 9pm
(THE E.L.P) is sizzle, spice and everything nice. Like the lovechild of Lauren Hill and Etta James, this project is funky. THE E.L.P started in Eugene and has been performing at local venues for a few years. The project has undergone several makeovers since the beginning.
Contagiously excitable, Leona’s personality shines through in her amazing vocal control. In the length of one song, she’ll go from rap to velvety vocals, to jazz scat and belting out downright incredible notes...
