The first speed puzzling showdown was such a hit we are doing it again! This time join us on a Sunday afternoon to compete with Eugene’s fastest puzzlers for GLORY, FAME, & PRIZES. 500 piece Ravensburger puzzle that you get to keep! To break the record, the time to beat is 1 hour and 12 minutes.
The puzzle comes brand new and sealed in the bag. All teams must pre-register.

The cocktail lounge takes the lead with a drink special menu for the duration of the event. We will feature the PLAY Paloma, as it is the official drink of Mexico and it is peak grapefruit season. $1 of each PLAY Paloma sold will go to support the local non-profit, Centro Latino Americano.
Flights of Mezcal include Montelobos Espadin, DerrumbesSan Luis Potosí and Bozal Cuishe.
Food Specials:
Dos Agaves is bringing it with three specials for the duration of the event. 1. Tacos de Lengua, 2. Taquitos rancheros with mole & queso fresco.
Kazuji Sans is breaking out of their Japanese style with Al pastor marinated pork belly with spiced black beans and corn, pumpkin lime vinaigrette slaw garnished with pickled red onions and cilantro.
Fisherman’s Market will feature their Al Pastor style Halibut Taco and Snapper Vera Cruz Plate.
Bounty Meat and Cheese is making a Tortilla Soup.

Carolyn Osborne-Sommer is a sculptor, educator and owner of Dune’s Raku Studio, in Eugene, Oregon.
I specialize in early art forms and teach , individual creative expression to all ages. My forms are hand built, carved and honed in clay, rock and mixed media.
I began learning and teaching form-making in a small community park and have continued throughout my life.
My creative spirit comes from my the heart of a forgotten way of form making, where importance is placed on the process, not the object. I am inspired by visual language, the need to create and transform thoughts into form. Clay offers a timeless connection to the elements of earth, water, air and fire.

What a special opportunity to enjoy the musical stylings of Tim McLaughlin in such an intimate setting as the PLAY Cocktail Lounge.
Tim McLaughlin has been a staple on the Pacific NW music scene for over 20 years. He has toured and recorded extensively as the band leader of Eleven Eyes, as well as many other PNW favorites including Candy Apple Bleu, Cherry Poppin Daddies, The Loose End, Llorona, SiMPLE, Sage Vagabond, Everyone Orchestra, Reeble Jar, Medium Troy, MarchForth, Sara B3 and 45 RPM, John Shipe, DeSolution, Halie Loran, Malanga, and Banter Waves, King Radio, and the Flipside Funk Jam at Sessions Music Hall.
This last few years have inspired McLaughlin to take music back to his early musical roots of performing solo acoustic. A wide range of inspiration is fueling his new music, including Kellar Williams, John Butler, Nirvana, Phish, Blind Pilot, Mr. Bungle, Tom Petty, Wilco, Tragically Hip, anything funky with solid groove, and all the good and bad times that makes us who we are. It feels right for McLaughlin to be writing roots music again with an acoustic guitar, a few choice guitar pedals, some singing, a lot of inspiration, and a lifetime of experiences to share.
